Weddings!

We have been blessed to have been apart of sooo many of our friends getting married this year! It was been special to attend weddings now that we are married. Who would have thought we would be able to reflect back on our wedding (and vows!) so many times, while rejoicing with our friends who are entering in to the same adventure. From northern california, to wheaton, to central california.....we have been all over the place since we have been married. 7 weddings so far.....1 more to go Dec. 30 when Brendan & Rachel wed. Here they are:

Wedding #1, April 3: Kelly & Tyler Orender

Dave and I got to help out with all the details. I put together the slideshow and it was so much fun to help and be apart of. We loved watching their honest and free love for one another. One of my favorite parts in the wedding was when Kelly walked in with her dad. When she walked in and saw the crowd of people stand for her she started laughing in unbelief and surprise at the reality of what was before it. It was so sweet! Also, I loved that the climbed a tree to jump off the leap of faith together! We love Kelly and Tyler and hope for more times with them in the future! She is a special friend and was my roommate at Mount Hermon! Good times :)

Wedding #2, June 25: Tara & Eric Westerfeld

What a beautiful day under the oak tree. Tara got married near SLO, in the middle of no where, under a beautiful oak tree. Ofcourse there were horses and the reception was in a barn! As a wedding party (I was a bridesmaid!), we hopped on a hay wagon and that was the processional, so cool! My favorite part of the day was watching Rebecca (Tara's BFF) give the matron of honor toast. They have such a special bond that was beautiful to hear in Rebecca's toast. I couldn't stop crying for awhile because it was so tender and touched my heart deep. I love Tara, my NAW, and hope for more times with her soon, as now she is an expecting mom!! I don't have many pictures, not sure where they all went, but here is a couple.

Wedding #3, August 6: Kristin & Aaron Bernstetter

Off to Wheaton for our cousin's wedding! It was so fun to watch Kristin get married! We enjoyed being able to be with family during the occasion and all stay in the same hotel. We even got to see Kristin and Aaron the day after to celebrate for awhile. Dave got to read Scripture in the wedding, which was really special as the oldest cousin. One of our favorite parts was when Aaron kissed Kristin, all the groomsmen held up numbers to rate the kiss. All of the numbers were a 10 except for her bro held up a 2. It was cute. :) Also, the reception was such a celebration! All ages were dancing for 3 hours!! We felt super blessed to be apart of the day. We put together a slideshow of some highlights that you can checkout on facebook.

Wedding #4, September 11: Jocey & Nathan Pearsey

Off to Hume Lake!! We were so incredibly blessed to be apart of Nathan and Jocey's special day! They have been such significant friends to us and we have shared in sweet moments. We hope for many many more!! My favorite part of the wedding was to watch Jocey and Nathan turn to the crowd as the Pastor read two letters that both of their parents had written to them. Watching Jocey walk down the aisle and see Nathan's face watching brought me to a quick stream of tears. When we were announced going to the reception, we all arrived on row boats!! Quite the adventure! It was fun to reunite with some special biola friends as well!

Wedding #5, September 17: Wedding we helped Coordinate with Danni

We got to go to Joshua tree and help Danni with a wedding! It was so fun to be apart and help them out with all the details. My favorite part of the wedding was helping all the guests onto the buses and seeing all the stylish clothes and crazy names of everyone. They were ALL from LA and had names like Ebeneazor. The food was AMAZING, catered from LA and it was fun helping setup. We got to stay in one of the model homes. Check it out!

Wedding #6, September 23: Bart & Cassie Gant

We are so happy for Bart and Cassie! They got married in San Martin, the same place that our friends Monica and Danny got married at (the first wedding we went to when we started dating round 1). It was so beautiful to watch them gaze into each other's eyes when they walked down the aisle. Although they had seen each other before, they both had tears in their eyes. As a groomsman, Dave loved watching Cassie's face during the vows. She was soaking in the moment and feeling the significance of the exchange of vows.
